My Tappan Microwave/Oven (model#TC1050B) door won't open, help?

Did anyone replace theirs in the Meridian Yacht? If so, what did you get? I guess I have parts now that the power surge blew the circuit! HA Patty

The same thing happened to my Tappan too. I glued the trigger pin back on and it worked for a while then broke again, so this time I used a screw in place of the pin and it has been working fine for a couple years now.

I'm having the same problem Norma. When pressing on the latch to release the door, it's not opening. I opened mine up and found out the plastic trigger mechanism the pivots to release the door has 2 plastic pins that allows it to pivot. One of the pins on mine sheared off and I'm trying to locate the replacement part for it with no luck so far. If I finally can locate one, I'll post it here (part number, cost) so you can use them to speak with as well. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
