hotpoint BWD129 washer/dryer?

My washing machine will not cycle through the selected program automatically.

I turn the machine on and i get two lights on superwash,well its actually the top two lights and one of them is the super wash,can any one help

Joe, mine snapped too just on sunday, i got the door open with a pair of scissors, if you catch the spring inside, and bend the spring out, the plastic catch simply operates this spring catch so using the scissors this simulates the same action, it let me open the door no bother and i have since used the machine with the door latch broken opening and closing the same way, i have ordered the new door handle from Domestic whitegoods in Kilmarnock scotland, you can google them its about £13 delivered for the part cheap as chips :)
