The rear engine snapper has a drive disk which is attached to the engine crank, and a driven disk which is attached to the gearbox. The driven disk has a rubber ring around the outside of it which is turned by the drive disk. No belts on this one! Except the mower deck. Easy to change. 3, 1/2" nuts and it's off for replacement.

If snapper is like most of the riding lawnmowers it no more than a pulley letting the belt slip when you push in on the clutch
