How can if fix my Beko 21" TV?

My Tv has many black lines at the top of the screen which distort the picture. Sometimes the picture goes altogether and a high pitch squeal eminates. Increasingly white wavy lines flash accross the screen. Please can anyone help - is it worth repairing or should I bin it? Thanks!

had similar problem on video ....50pence ectrolytic cap. replaced and all is well again.

Sounds like the regulated power supplies are being disrupted, possibly by a faulty electrolytic capacitor or power transistor which is about to fail.

I suggest you have it checked asap before it fails completely. Don't be tempted to run it in this condition, otherwise it may fail with more expensive consequences.
