Kitchen sink taps?

Is it feasible to replace my leaking two-tap and fdeed kitchen tap with a more modern single post one?
I know I have two holes in the sink where I need just the one central one, but I wondered if there was an adaptor?

The problem with the old assembly is that it leaks down the hot feed pipe underneath, but ONLY when the hot tap is turned on.
I've replaced the tap washers.....
