can i fix my sharp carousel about 10 years old?

my microwave about a month ago started by itself when i closed the door, many times for a couple of weeks ,then it didn't. the other day i removed my food closed door and a dozen seconds after, flashed light inside 2 times in a few seconds . i became alarmed thinking maybe i'll have a fire from a short circuit , i unpluged unit and there it sits , any hope?

Hi, not too sure from your brief post here just what may be your problem. flashing light is one thing, arcing is another. my techie nose tells me maybe when you close the door the unit is going into cook mode. Either way I suspect that you need to change the door switches. For any further help or advice please feel free contact me via microwave-repairs.co.uk
