Without a Combustion Analayer it is impossible to set up an oil fired boiler. the Velaire was fitted with two diffrent burners an Electro-oil inter (orange colour)
or a Riello Mectron (either silver alluminium or in a Red Box, these burners (both good) operate in very different ways so it is hard to suggest a diagnosis without being in front of the boiler
