How can I fix my Bosch Dishwasher?

I have a Bosch dishwasher model SGS5302GB/07 which up until last week worked fine. However I put it on the other day as normal and it began fine but when I went into the kitchen later my floor was deep in water and the dishwasher stated F on the display. I have checked my manual which says that an F means that either the tap is not switched on (obviously the tap was on because my kitchen floor was flooded!) or that if my model includes an Aquastop then there might have been an increase of water pressure which has altered a flow in the water (I have no idea it is does have Aquastop). We have had the dishwasher out and checked that the drainage pipe is not blocked causing the flood, we have checked all the filters are clear and we have checked the tap and have removed the pipes etc but the display is still reading F. We know that when you switch the machine on that water is going into the machine initially as you can hear it but that's about it. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with it - any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks

My guess is that you've loaded the appliance badly and blocked the water distribution nozzle. This is located on the inside roof of the machine (you probably won't have noticed it)and if you have say a large pot or chopping board underneath it, it will just keep filling with water. Also if the water distribution wand (underneath the top tray) has been stopped from whizzing round (say by a bread knife or long handle dropping from the top rack) then that will also result in flooding.

If after checking the above out you still have a problem, call out an engineer!

Good luck.

The most likely problem is the fill level switch is not working properly.
Requires knowledge of electricity.
turn power off and measure switch with an ohm meter.
You will probably need a repair person for this type of problem.
Could also be the signal that turns on the fill valve is defective, (On all the Time., when ever the dishwasher is turned on) This may be processor controll problem?
