AUDI A4 19.TDi - Water collecting in the wells (Battery/wiper?

there are two drain holes in tray left & right, one under battery & one on LHS going into rubber tubes, push out rubber tubes & place a piece of semi-stiff wire into each hole, long enough to come up above battery. so that you can jiggle them in future to clear holes. they block up with leaves etc that find their way in past back edge of bonnet. bad design fault.

check the battery tray for corrosion,underneath the battery tray,pieces of corroded tray block up the drainage channels .had similar problem new tray sorted it after clearing out the channels of debris.
