Hotpoint WD72 Washer Dryer?

Just after a year of using my Hotpoint WD72 washer dryer the tumble dryer would not dry the clothes and would fill with water. A few months after and now on every cycle, the machine shows E15 check outlet pipes prior to the rinse and spin, although there is no blockage in the pipes and the outlet hose is fitted correctly.

From other posts on this site it appears that this is a common problem. Does anyone have any detailed information of how to resolve this problem?

Good thread. Found a sock in the water outlet. Good tip from above, tip the washing machine onto front, empty first though.

Thanks for the advice - I had this same problem with my wd 72 yesterday, removed the back and explored the black hose down at the bottom left (not sure what the technical phrase is for this...) and found an assortment of plastic stuff that was clogging the outlet. Just like to say as well that the user guide was useless...

I've had the same problem on my WD72 - it wouldn't empty and reported E15.

I followed Nick's advice (thank you) but the filter was clear. It was only after I took the pump out (with the intention of replacing it) that I found a shoe lace wrapped around the pump's blades.

My tip - roll the machine onto its front to remove the pump. The 2 bolts underneath it are much easier to undo than the three fiddly allen key bolts on the blindside of the pump. Once the pump's out, these final three bolts come off easily to expose the blades.

Hi there
I've had to periodically unblock our WD72 when it comes up with this message. I'm afraid I don;t know the correct terms, but taek the back off and there is black rubber hose that is fastened to the pump at one end and at the other end houses a collector of bits - buttons, socks (the main culprit) etc. usually it is this collector that is blocked, sometime sthe other end too.
Ironically I am on here now because this time I think it's the pump itself that has gone- just did a random search and found this and though I'd share what I've found out.
