take the blade off as well as the inner flange, next there is a retaining ring that needs to come off. the retaining ring is very similar to a key chain ring, but flat. you need to get a pin or something small into the notch and work it all the way around untill it pops out.(be carefull not to damage it) detach the long blade guard spring. and finally pull the lower blade guard towards you. some wiggiling may help. alittle grease helps to put it back together.
