I cant get a manual and dont know where the water pump is on the engine.

Make sure the radiator is not blocked internally, the fins are clear of rubbish, use an inhibitor coolant, and adapt a no loss water bottle in the system.
I live in Queensland and have no trouble with my Kubota B7001, and regularly slash my property using a 4 foot slasher.

I don't know if it is the same but I had the same problem with my B7100 which eventually I found to muck between the radiator and the front grill which I thought was a part of the radiator, once this was cleaned out it will go all day with a rotovator or mini baler without over heating.

i have seen a grey kubota b7001 4 sale and have also learnt that it has no water pump. i am used to operate an old sachs diesel engine that uses thermosyphoon method to circulate water and it can go on for couple of hours tilling the soil.

... i would like to ask if this tractor gets very hot in short periods of time or couple of hours? i intend to use it on 30 minutes or hourly periods of work... taking care it should be properly serviced...

here in malta we have average summer temps of 35 to 40 degrees celcuis any comments?

In the UK, the B7001 grey has thermo syphon cooling with no pump. It doesn't work. The official B7100 does have a pump and thermostat and I guess does work. I spent hours and hours, and a lot of money, checking the coolant for CO2 contamination, having the rad cleaned, cleaning it again myself, checking the timing, etc. etc. All was OK. I'm told you can fit a s/h B7100 timing cover and new water pump and alternator. Probably easiest but costs most. In my case I fitted a Davies Craig 12v EBP pump, 5 ohm rheostat from RS components and a Quinton Hazell thermostat QTH126K. The whole lot was connected using 2 x Kubota hoses 15371-72850 and standard plumbing copper pipe + fittings - 35mm which fits the hoses +22mm and 15mm. You'll need to solder here and there. Now it works perfectly at 80 deg C. all the time.

I don't think the B7001 has a water pump. I beleve the water circulates by thermo siphon. I also think the B7001 is almost the same tractor as the B7100. The pictures I have seen look identical to my B7100. Many sources on the web for manuals for a B7100.

have you checked your water pump/ generator belt tension.try a new radiator cap. is the radiator matrix clear of dust and dirt. with the engine running have the radiator cap off,can you see the water returning into the top of the radiator this will indicate that the water is being circulated buy the pump.just a few checks you can easily make.find your fan belt, one of those pulleys it runs on will be the water pump- that will be the pulley housing that has hose going into it.
