Mend Engine Lawn Mower No Start

oil thru air cleaner when turned over?

I turned the mower over to fix the blade and some oil came through the air filter. i cleaned it up and it ran for a little bit. Now it will not start. Have replaced spark plug.???

That happened to me last week. i think it's because the inlet valve was open when you turned the engine upside down or whatever. if you take the plug out and pull the starter rope a few times it should clear it. Be careful if you pull it with oil in because the compression can pull the handle out of your fingers and it hurts!
