why is my car overheating?

my mitsubishi shogun 2.8 petrol had a leaky radiator its had a new radiator fitted and the orange water light keeps coming on dash now also both big radiator pipes are solid and feel like they are going to explode the temp gauge in car stays at 1/2 way please help
