No, there's a guide pin at the bottom of the calliper which you access from the rear. (Easier if you turn the steering for better access.) Remove that, then the calliper swings upwards and you can just pull the shims and pads out. One thing, don't force the piston in without loosening the bleed nipple first or you risk popping the seals. Tighten the bleed nipple then press the footbrake a few times until the pedal pressure feels normal.
