the problem is the drum will not spin, I have checked the belt and that seems fine. When i switch it on i just get a whinning noise, but if i give the drum a slight push it sets itself away but then it stops again when it reverse tumbles and needs another push to get going. Thanx in advance.
hi rob,, just so these two others dont give u a complex, i happen to be a housewife and i did mine myself, just so you know you dont have to be an engineer. but one thing i forgot to say is,, yes its right next to the motor,, so make sure you unplug it

i got a compatable capacitator for 12.95, and it only took around 10 mins to fit. take off the lower panel at the back. you will see a cylindrical white obect... this is what you're after.. just disconnect the wires, then reconnect them to the new one in the same places. away you go.. v. easy to do

thanks for your help. Any idea how much this is going to cost as im on a tight budget. Is it easy to fit myself or will it take an engineer to come out?

your dryer probably needs a capacitor which is either fastened too or close too the motor.cylindrical in shape with either 2 or 4 wiring tags on it. you will need the uF number from the side of the cap. to get the right one for motor on your model.( p.s. i'm an engineer)
