reattaching chimes?

I just got a Dorset regulator style wind-up wall clock, and the pendulum works and seems to run OK, but the two chime wires that hand down for the hammers to strike are not attached, and I don't know how to reattach them.

check the rear of the clock for a smallish hole about 1/4"
(there maybe 2) this will be where the bolt(s) passes through the casing into the bottom of the striking bar base.
