I have a Prob. with my ADMIRAL GC2224GEKB?

When I press the water disp. button or the crushed ice button,the water valve keeps cutting in/out.I thought it was the water press. but when I checked the water was ok.I put my meter on the connection to the valve and found the voltage was pulsing.I am wondering if this was a common fault on this unit and if so is it an easy or expensive repair.
I would be most grateful for any information.
