Defy Automaid not emptying or spinning?

H,
My defy automaid fills and washes but when it comes to the empty part, nothing happens, as a result, no rinsing or spinning takes place. My son has taken the drain and the pump apart and replaced, but can't see anything wrong.

Please help.
