How can I fix my portable dvd player?

How can I fix my dvd player if I only dropped a little bit of water on it do I need to fix some wires or change a battery or take out the battery ? please help me. When i turn it on flicks a white and black streak lines on the screen i can't hear a thing and it get a little hot on one side which i think the water went to but it dried up and that little incedent was about 3 months ago. please help me and tell me what I need to fix because its really nothing major problem its either a wire or battery i just need to know please help me Its a venturer pvs8083 and its a carry size
