How can I fix my Stihl FS55 model. ?

same thing happeded to mine cheaper to replace carb, now it runs like a champ....

Same problem with mine. Suspect it is one of the check valves in the primer housing (thick black plastic housing on the carburetor directly under the prime bulb). Mine seem to be "gunked up" and won't allow any gas to flow into the primer bulb from the gas tank. Haven't been able to figure out a way to clear the valve and also haven't been able to find a replacement for this part. Zama site seems to indicate it is no longer available for my carb - a C1Q - S97. May contact them to find out if there is a substitue part and, if not, what I should buy to repalce the carb.
