During the summer months and warmer weather the problem disapeared completely, now it's getting colder and damper the problem is back. It must be a electrical conection or unit somewhere that's faulty.

Am told it can be the front door locking unit being faulty as it helps control the other bits but would like confirmation if this could be the case

I also had the same problem, now I cannot use the key remote to open doors or boot on my mk3 2001 mondeo-did you find a solution
