how to repair my zanussi hob?

on both cooker side panels at the front door edge you will see metal cover strips.prise these off with a screwdriver and you will see screws.remove these screws and then remove the ones on the back edge.pull side panel off.it will be wedged under hob side but keep pulling and it will come away.do this on both side panel and then you will see the 4 mounting screws for the hob.remove them and lift hob up carefully.

sorry should of said model number is zce 7700x,would also like to ask if replacing the the hot plate is easy or hard,i had a general look to see if the top slides off but there was no obvious signs
