It does not heat up correctly and something is rattling inside. I only find one screw at the rear of the handle and it is difficult to remove the rear plate after removing the screw.
Do you pull the tube all the way out? When I pull it out a ways I don't see a scfrew

As you described, take out the screw that holds the rear plastic piece on. Take off the rear plastic part & you will see two screws that attaches the handle assembly to the base.
With pilers, pull out the plastic fill inlet. That will expose a screw that holds the front to the base.
I did that to work on the reservoir and pump but did not go into the heating unit.
