berlingo 1.9 smokey and revs high when turning corners?
hello there , i have a citroen berlingo 1.9 diesel non turdo on a 99 v plate . and on starting and running it white smokes and on going round corners it revs very high , i know it sounds mad but thats the truth , ok on a straight road but on a bend or roundabou the revs go sky high , now i thought maybe the EGR valve but have been told maybe its the idle valve , any ideasgents , many regard Daz
hmm!white smoke indicates water in combustion.go basic.change fuel filter, check for water in base of housing.theoretically if so could account for both symptoms.however improbable.check that ur throttle cable is not fouled or snaged.turning the wheel could becatching somewhere.definatly check oil levels in engine, overfilling could result in reving.diesel engines will quite happily eat thier own engine oil given the chance, not good as if they get enough they will run a max until realy big bang time
