Tried all the above although my condenser dryer is a beko that keeps tripping the electric, only had for just over 12 month, as I said we have tried the drying out etc to no avail, but also when the heater element is disconnected the dryer does not run? No lights on the front panel and the drum does not go round? Any idea?

I also had this problem. Removed and cleaned all filters and lied the dryer on its back. It was full of water so I'm guessing some wiring had got wet. Left empty and open for afew days before putting it on for an hour with nothing in it. Make sure it is about a foot away from the wall if possible to allow ventilation. Working fin now :-)

I removed the back panel (the unpainted kidney-shaped cover) and it had about half a pint of water in it. I emptied it and dried out the heating panel with a hair dryer and my tumble dryer is working very well now. No more tripping of electric circuit breakers.

I have just called out indesit - the dryer is tripping the earth leakage system - just on 12 months old - the problem is that because of the location of the water reservoir the condensed water is pumped up to it. Apparently if the filters/condenser is not cleaned regularly it can become blocked and then water gets thrown about onto the electrics (I think at the rear) of the machine (you may actually see water seeping from the unpainted metal cover at the rear of the machine) the cover can be removed by removing several self tapper screws and drying the cover and surrounding area etc. may help. Keep condenser and filter clean.
