Can anyone help??
My Beko WM51502 start/pause button not working and not lit up. All the other buttons work, just cannot start the thing. I have tried resetting, but of course if the start button is not on resetting might be a problem.

Has anyone had similar or same problem, can anyone help.

Thanks

Just to add, I have a Beko WMB series machine and the reset sequence is slightly different as you don't set it to 90c but rather to Cottons (12 o'clock on the dial).
Also after holding Start/Cancel for 10s I got a code - 0427 - then all the icons on the display light up. I then pressed start once and turned off and on again.
Display was still flashing 00:00 and not responding (which is the original error condition that started all this for me)
I turned the programme dial from Cottons to the programme it was on when it started to go wrong. And closed the door. It then displayed "End" and locked the door, and went through the cycle you get when you cancel a programme, e.g. locked for 3 mins.
After that all was working!
HTH someone with a slightly different machine

Worked wonders for us.. followed the reset for our wmb 81445 washing machine. Reset allowed us to get the lock off. Then drained manually, took out load, found hair clip stuck in the little motor in the filter pump. Took out with long plyers.. all working fine now 😃

This thread made me very happy.

I have just fixed my Crystal MH 665 washing machine using the same code as was given here for the Beko one. Saved myself a lot of money and having to miss work waiting for the repair guy.

Plus it allowed me to give my kids a demonstration of how Moms can fix washing machines too.

Fantastic the reset instructions worked and have released machine to spin. You are a genius

Fixed mine too by removing a piece of material that had jammed the pump found behind the small door at the bottom of the machine. Get ready for any water in the machine to drain out (a lot) and turn the filter clockwise to remove. Don't just check the filter which is on the back of the piece you've just removed, almost LOOK UP THE PIPE into the machine. The pump is just a few inches in and can get obstructed. Remove any thing you see that should be there and gently rotate the pump to check that it moves smoothly. Replace the filter turning it anti-clockwise. Then rest you machine as in the posts below and you should find your machine works.

This is a common problem with beco's.

How can I reset my beko WML 15080 Y ? It's not spinning during the normal wash and when I select spin mode it's only spin for a short time and that's it. Thanks

Wow this worked :-) A hairgrip was the culprit in this case, jammed in the outlet pump :-(

On my machine a Beko WM 71641, you set it to cottons, at the 12 O'clock position.

A bit of advice, turn the machine off first, wait for the click of the door unlocking, empty the wet laundry into a bucket, then bail out the drum of the machine (I used a takeaway container) into another bucket, then follow the instructions in the other posts about re-setting the machine and cleaning the filter. Emptying the machine first saves mopping 4+ litres of water off your kitchen floor when you open the filter - have sponges and shamwow cloths handy..

guys, my washing machine BEKO WM512S ended up not spin or drain, with clothes in, i done what it said on here from great clever guy: Big thanks to all for usefull posts. With your sugestions i reset my Beko SWM 3508 TGK washing machine.
Procedure for reset:
-Turn Off power switch
-Select 90 degree washing
-Press and hold Start
-Turn ON power switch and keep pressed Start button 10 sec
-Depress Start button
-Turn Off power switch and turn On again and thats it...

it did finally let me to choose program, but still ended up not draining or spinning...after4 hours found manual, you should clean pump filter.
how to do it:

1.disconnect /unplug the machine from power supply, be careful if you did washing on 60 or 90'C, leave it to cool down for few hours first
2. open filter cap, it is under the door, you should hold it from both sides and open it by pulling out.
3.place large container in front of the filter to get water flowing from filter, get cloth and bucket as well, i had lots of water there.
4.loosen pump filter (white round thing)anticlockwise until water starts to flow out of it to container.
5.when there is no water left, turn pump filter until is completely loose and remove it.
6.now you can find all dirt and rubbish inside, so clean it all... and close the pump filter properly...plus filter cup just pushing on the sides.

guys i had piece of wire from underwear and this stupid colour catcher sheet, and thats why it stopped working. happy days, i saved myself ÂŁ100 at last for xmas. good luck

Hi everyone.
Thank you so much for the answer. I think I overloaded my machine, so it just turned off keeping the door locked.

As I apply the code, the machine starts running through all the elements of the washing cycle.

I believe that when I held start again for three seconds it turned off.

What I then did was press start so it would turn on, and have it run only the draining program. That took like a minute, and then 'pop', door opened!

Thanks!

Hello I have had the similar problem as many of you described.. however, it seems to have amind of its own atm and it will go through a whole wash cycle, then for some reason start filling up with with water again and then stop half way through.. therefore altho I can reset the machine, it wont do anything apart from spin.. which is no good when I have water still to drain.. any ideas about how to get it to drain without having to go through the manual way of draining ir which I have done before and takes forever :-(...

er, not quite, update to below, i was too quick to say done. wm spins fine with no clothes, doesnt spin with a single pair of jeans, answer from other site --

This one is VERY common to more modern machines that are run by electronics (most machines of 6 years or less). This problem arises when you try to spin one item on its own ie: bath mat, dressing gown ect, you will find that all the water has gone but it has not spun, this is because all modern machines use electronics to run all programs and they measure the drum speed very accurately to stop it doing an unbalanced spin. If you ever have this problem simply open the door and put a large dry bath sheet in with the load and spin it again, you should find it now spins OK.

Wow - yes the answer I've re-pasted below does work!! It sure is funny that there are totally different instructions in the manual - and those don't work. Big thanks to whoever worked this out. It's happened the only couple of times before when I've tried to do a pre-wash and those times I just fiddled randomly until it eventually started up again - but couldn't get it going this time till I tried the below.

Have had the same problem, prewash light flashing right hand side of machine. The shop I purchased machine from have spoken to their Engineer and it's a case of re-setting the machine. Have told me how to do it and the machine's working again - fingers crossed!
Turn power button off (not at wall)
Select 90 degree wash
Press Start and Cancel button down at same time for 3 seconds and turn power button on whilst still holding buttons down - Start light will flash.
Leave power on.
Select any Spin position.
Press Start and Cancel button at same time again for 3 seconds - other buttons may start to flash - if they do, press Start and Cancel button together again for 3 seconds.
Machine should be re-set ready for use.

This worked with my BEKO WM 5120 W. The drum must be empty of water. Remove filter bottom right of washing machine, behind the kicker to empty water quickly. Requires two people and a bucket/ washing up bowl or lots of towels. Put filter cover back on. Wait 2 - 3 mins. Switch on as described below. Start/ cancel button on this model is one and the same. Job done.

Had the same problem with ours after 18 months. Spent 3 days trying everything to reset it but nothing worked, then one last thought before taking it to the tip I checked the hose. These machines don't spin if there is water in the cylinder, so I disconnected the hose from the drain pipe, put it in a bucket and turned the machine back on and water flooded out. The blockage was at the rubber none return valve in our kitchen wastepipe. Two curtain hooks and a button later and everything was fine. Hope this helps

Emily Plant is an absolute star - its just worked on my washer. That will have saved call out charges - do manufacturers do this deliberately now as its such a good money spinner - lessons learnt fromthe car industry - dont give them a simple reset button so that they can sort themselves when there is money to be made! Thanks again Emily! xx
