when driving my rover 25 along the road sometimes the speed just drops and there is no power! i have to stop and start the engine a few times for it to run ok or keep putting my foot on and off the excelerator for power to go through now there is no exceleration when press down on pedal help!!

my rover 25 1.4 103 bhp keeps judering and cuting out had a new computer on it and a new lamber sencer also a (throttle position sensor) does anyone know what is up ow its had a computer riged up and nothing came up

i suggest to get ur tapetts done pronto,as this happened to me other day and now car(rover 25)wont start at all,it gonna cost u more in the long run ......TRUST ME!!!! :(

it sounds like your head gasket, check your water resavour, and if creamy inside or no water u got problem

It sounds like a LAMDA sensor or coil pack problem to me, Try turning your ignition key to position II (and off) a couple of times before starting if this cures the power loss its more than likely the LAMDA sensor.

this usually solves all my problems.............
pop to your local petrol st/n and buy 1 of those handy little red containers for holding £5 worth of your best high octane petrolium, top that little baby up..... rite to the neck.pour liberally all over the interior and engine compartment then simply blaze it up with a single household match.... it worked for me anyway.
the only downside is ....you,ve got to buy a new car, but hey. it made me feel good

No need to remove the rear seat on R25 to access the fuel pump (there is no 'through floor' accessin any case), the fuel pump is located on the top of the fuel tank and it has to be 'dropped' from the car to acccess (its approx 3 hrs to complete for a DIY mechanic)

it was a damaged sensor. think it was the oxygen sensor that needed replaced.

several possible causes, blocked fuel fillter, empty fuel tank, fuel pump problem, or and engine management problem (damaged sensor, or poor connection to ecu)
if its a sudden loss of power (eg the engine effectively cuts out) its likely to be a sensor problem possibley tps (throttle position sensor) this could cause the engine management to think the throttle is closed and there for no air is entering the engine, so it shuts off the fuel supply.

rovers are renowned for electrical glitches, so best be is to take it to a rover dealer and get them to plug your car in to a diagnostics tester. this will ask the engine computer if any sensors are not sending a signal to it, and then hopfully you will beable to find the fault and rectify it!!
