My beko d532 electric cooker just stopped working?

I cant see what big jim suggested to do. can anyone tell me please

has anyone had the problem of thier beko built in oven retaining moisture after cooking. when you open the door there is a pool of water at the base of the oven. can anyone help

my beko mD532A exploded on the hob.Hobs kept over heating going crazy.It made the whole cooker go dead.I was in kitchen with my two little girls.
Not a nice experince as scared my girls.
Not happy with this product.
Am also hearing to many bad things about this cooker make.
I contacted Curry,s where i bought it from.
Hopefully get it sorted.
But wont hold my breath.
Me and my girls could of been killed with the loud bang it made.

My Beko d532 has just done the same -no oven - no oven light-no rear right ring.Read all comments and decided to have a go myself.So screwdriver and multimeter in hand I made sure it was isolated then off with back panel - found thermostat,this was on right hand side - pull wires off with care then unscrewed the bracket holding it (1 screw) then tested with ammmeter - no circuit .
At this point I went online to order replacment (under a fiver at amazon) and while I was online I googled repairing a thermostat. Found a bloke on U tube that throws dryer thermostats on concrete floor to shock them and it seemed to work for him,so I thought will it work for the smaller cooker one.
So with nothing to lose I took it off the bracket -so it would land flat , then testing again with ammeter - still dead -I took it outside to a flat section of concrete and aiming the flat side down threw it sharply from about 18 inches onto the concrete. Took it back inside,tested it and.......it still wasnt working.Not to be out done I decided to give it one last try and another sharp throw and this time .............yes it was working!!!
So got it all reinstalled,oven and ring works,although dont know for how long but have new thermostat on order and at least I can have my supper!
I hope this can be of help to anyone,no guarantees - it worked for me thats all I can say.

I have had exactly the same problem with my Beko oven ,double main oven has died on me,However 3 of the hobs work fine and the grill is great,but the front larger hob throws the electric for the whole kitchen and the digital clock went and I can't use the main oven! I am a single parent on a very low wage,is there a safe way for me to fix it! I'm currently feeding my family using a halogen oven(a god send!) but desperately need my main oven back! HELP!!!

If Beko d532 or d533 oven fails to heat /no oven light or fan then this is the thermostat cut off switch or some models have fused wire which is £5.00 for switch or fused wire at under £1.00 (fuse only) both can be used to repair and fuse can be cut out and wires joined as a temporary fix to cook a meal but must be replaced asap as without this cooker would catch fire by overheating
P.S fused wire can't be soldered use spades or crimp or convert to a cut off switch

I've just had the exact same problem as described here, the fan oven and rear right hob stopped working. Followed Big Jim's advice and now everything is working fine!

I am not a qualified electrician.
Our Beko D532 (S - which I think just refers to the colour - silver?) electric cooker developed a fault last week after 4 years from new. The oven and front and back hotplates stopped working. The grill and two left hot plates continued working. Building on the advice of this site ... I did the following - which worked!
1) Switch off the cooker supply at the fuse box and at the wall connection! To be safe!
2) Unscrewed the back of the cooker (there are quite a few fixing screws) - and take care .... the back plate of cooker is sharp .... so wear gloves.
3) I could identify two thermal fuses - one was connected with a white wire at the bottom right, the other was connected with a red wire 2/3 of the way up on the right. Both were surrounded by transparent shrink wrap. The thermal fuse was connected each side by a rigid wire and climped to the red and white wire. The reference on each fuse was M/CR OTEMP, STLC HV, E5AOO, 9U_TF144C - I don't know what all this means but advice from the supplier .... the TF is thermal fuse and the numbers after are the temp rating of the fuse 144 Centigrade. At this stage I didnt know, with certainty, which fuse worked the faulty areas? (but later established the white wire connected fuse protected the oven and right hot plates).
4) I called Sinolec components www.sinolec.co.uk who were very helpful and ordered 4 thermal fuses (so I had spares) They cost £0.51p plus vat each and I also ordered pillar terminal block (£0.75p plus vat) to connect the new fuses. Their thermal fuses cover different temperatures - I bought the 152 C one - on advice - as this was within the range of 144 C currently fitted.
5) With again power switched off - I cut the existing fuses out (and shrink wrap) and connected one of the new thermal fuses and reused the one that was still functioning ok using the connector block. I then thoroughly wrapped each fuse with insulation tape. (I did try the oven before I replaced the back (taking care to keep very clear of any wires) and the oven and faulty hotplates didn't switch on .... but .....when I reconnected the back of the cooker and switched on they all worked fine!? Not sure why?
We have now cooked a few meals on the mended cooker and its fine .... I was grateful for the help on this site and wanted to add to the advice .... I did try throwing the fuse on the ground to fix it ... as advised on this site ... but didn't work for me?!

My back r/h hob wasn't working, nor was my oven, both stopped in the middle of cooking a meal. Just went through the steps Jim outlined above and now the oven and hob are working fine.

Mine hoes every week whille cooking sunday dinner "gggrrrrr".
Just take the rear cover off and you will see 2 thermal fuses, 1 top right and the 2nd bottom right, both have 2 white wire going to them. The top one is for rear hob and fan oven.... Pull the wires off, unscrew the 2 little screw on the holging plate and the fuse comes away from the body frame. Take the fuse outside and throw it on the ground hard. Put back together and it will work....... Strange i know but it is a common fault and a defo fix and also the cheapest ;)

Just pull off the wires/clips and unscrew. Then screw in your new one and re-attach the clips. You can get the part via Becko parts department 0845 6004911 or get one on Ebay as it will be cheaper, just look for Becko thermal fuse and check the picture matches the one in your oven.

my beko d532 has exactly the same problems not yet a year old have to wait a week for enginer to come and look at it how long before they will repair ????

As I am writing this, I am awaiting the BEKO engineers for the 3RD time, to attend to this exact same fault. My cooker was bought last June and first went wrong after 40 days..the engineer came and informed me that as soon as the fault was reported, he knew what it was as this is a known fault with these cookers. He replaced the thermostat, which took less time to do than it took him to remove the back of the oven, showed me that both oven and back ring were working, and left. I put my dinner in the oven and lo and behold, within 20 mins the thing went again.. this time I was without an oven for 3+ weeks..now I will allow tomorrows repair to take place only on the proviso that if it goes again I will insist on my money back as obviously, this article is not fit for purpose and I will go to British Standards if I have to..I suggest that all other owners of these cookers take the same route.....good luck......

hi, I have just experienced the same problem but it is 18 months old now and out of warrenty, spoke to Beko and they want to charge £97 to fix it when they say its a switch thats faulty, anyone no of a cheaper option as I begrudge paying that much when it is less than 2 years old and half the cost of it brand new to get repaired

It just seems Beko cookers are all faulty and should be avoided. I have a BEKO DVC 7622 and have now had to call out repairs 6 times after 3 times they replaced the cooker but this is the 3rd time for this one.
All COMET do is send an engineer to fix it which lasts a couple of weeks then goes again. And i will never ever buy a BEKO cooker again or anything from COMET either for that matter as all the stuff they sell is inferior.

Hi The exact same thing has happened to me TWICE. The first time Argos replaced the cooker but it's just happened again on the replacement which is less than four weeks old. Ive rang Argos and told them I want a full refund but they're saying it could be wiring. Are they telling the truth or are they just trying to get out of refunding me.
Is this a fault with this product?

A further update - the fault returned a week after the initial repair. Owned the appliance for 5 weeks, out of action for 2 of them.

Just an update in case anyone googles beko D532 electric cooker fault as there isn't much info about - it was a thermal fuse. The engineer was here about ten minutes. The cooker was under warranty so I can't say how much the repair would cost but I wouldn't imagine the part cost much. The repair man said if they are going to go, they go quite soon (my cooker was 2 weeks old)

NO.it just means the stat has failed and has no bearing on the connections/wiring

remove the back panel of the oven and on your right you will see a stat.this should be normally close (have a circuit through it).if they go open circuit the fault you describe happens
