How can I get the soap dispenser to open properly during the wash cycle?
Kenmore Ultra Wash III - My soap dispenser will not open to dispense the detergent. I've tried pouring hot water over the opening, but it still will not open once the door is shut. I've been putting the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher. Any ideas??

The dispenser door is controlled by an electrically operated 'solenoid' - and I guess this has called it a day. You'll be losing efficiency of your dishwasher here - the machine will likely do a quick rinse out first which will take some of the detergent with it.
