Water Leak in Vauxhall Corsa?

I have recently found that the carpet and sound deadening in the drivers foot well of my corsa is soaked with water. I just wondred if any one had any ideas what may be causing this problem

It is for sure the bulkhead plate seal where the servo sits, the servo needs to be removed to clean out the old seal and reseal correctly.
Always good practice to put sealant around the bolt heads and cable grommet for added certainty.
I used Denzo tape which made the job much easier, quicker and in my opinion a better job.

My granddaughter had the corsa leak in drivers footwell had it sealed at garage but still leaked so removed their poor attempt of sealant they put around for pedal plate and sealed it all around with anger an made product called seal fix which is a thick paste you put on with brush is spatula or fingers (but messy) awkward to do at bottom of servo so make sure there's plenty on at bottom,it can be done even if wet and instantly waterproof, brilliant stuff and so far no leak

Some of the post are very old but the problems are still the same. Brake servo plate every time, dealers charge a fortune but you could visit.

My 54 plate Corsa has had a windscreen seal repair last year (July 2013) which seemed to work but now (Feb 2014) I'm getting water in again. I rang a windscreen repair service who said no one. even Vauxhall knows where the water gets in but then quoted me £300 for a new windscreen

if your drivers footwell and rear are soaked with water then 99% its the seal behind the brake servo. Its a pathetic piece of foam like material which breaks down after 5 years or sooner. Vauxhall engineers hang your head in shame!

Same with us 2012 Corsa from new. Driver side and passenger wells (no joke intended!) Not covered by the life-long-warranty it seems More on that later

I have a 52 plate 1.7dci corsa and I have the same the problem water in my driver and passenger side footwells not only that but both passenger and driver side seats are sometimes damp. I have taken it to the garage and at first I thought it could have been the radiator matrix but that doesnt seem to be the case. Any help with this would be appreciated

looking at all of the forums, this seems to be a common occurrence with Vauxhalls- typically Corsa's. Three areas said to be leaking are the Servo seal, fuse box cover seal and lastly (if you get wet rear footwells) the back light seals.

I have a '53 Vauxhall corsa and have pulled the carpet/rubber up. After pouring water on the windscreen and in the compartment around the windscreen wash bottle, a trickle of water appeared inside the driver compartment. This was above the pedals and from the servo area.

The most common fix found online is to clean, degrease the servo seal (engine compartment side) and then completely cover with sealant..

I'm going to try this tomorrow, but looking on all other forums this seems like the best (quick) fix

I found two cracks in the seal which runs around the servo unit. It isn't possible to visually inspect all of the seal without major dismantling but I used my iphone with a flash to photograph inaccessible areas so that I got a clear picture of ever inch of the seal. I was able to get access to the very bottom and invisible section by pushing the phone in through the large drainage trapdoor leading from below the servo unit into the engine compartment

use underseal on the panel behind the brake pedal and round the steering column

I have a combo van and I tried everything. The leak was coming in on the accelerator pedal bolts. I followed a previous reply (Thanks). Took the wipers and grills off next to the windscreen, washer bottle out, and painted around the brake servo seal with underseal. You can get to the bottom through the drain in the engine compartment. Its a bit messy but one coat all round fixed it. the next problem is drying out the floor covering.

I've had my (54 reg) corsa looked at 3 times now and still can't find how the drivers footwell is getting so wet. We have had the steering column seal changed but it's still leaking. Can't be the windscreen as I've had that replaced and this was happening before that was replaced. Help!!

have you a problem with your engine overheating? It may be that the heat exchanger in the dashboard has gone and will need replaced.

Hi, I too have a V. Corsa 02, and have had a windscreen replaced in October last year. Since then had a leak, but cannot find where it is getting in. The water appears at top of clutch pedel, and runs down on top and behind rubber, and onto carpet, and soundproofing, soaking it all. Have checked drains and they are ok, where else could it be coming in.? Desperate to get it sorted out, as drivers footwell soaking, and also rear footwell behind drivers is soaked as well. Any help would be gratefully received.

i dont know if its the same on a corsa, but i know it is for a cavalier. where there water collects below the windscreen, it drains away from both sides, and also in the middle. The middle drain pipe (black flat and flexi)can get blocked, so water has to find somwhere else to go.
