Renault Megane Driveshaft?

How do you change the drivers side driveshaft on a T reg megane (1600 manual). I changed the other side no problem but on this side the manual states remove pin from gearbox side of shaft (and obviously peplace on refitting) problem is i cant find a pin on the shaft allthough it is difficult to see. The new shaft do's have a hole through it for a pin. And after several trips to the factors they assure me they have supplied the correct part. Any suggestions ?

Renault Megane Vehicles, Cars Change Drivers Side

hiya,I fitted a new sleeve from the driveshaft to the gearbox splined shaft last week,this was on a 2002 scenic dci,I was supprised to find that there was,nt a roll pin hole in the sleeve but there was in the gearbox shaft.I drilled a hole in the sleeve, smeared the shaft and sleave with loctite then fitted the roll pin,job done.

There are 2 types of driveshaft, one with roll pins and one without. The Motor Factor is giving you duff gen!!!!!

hi the pin (roll pin ) is hollow and as you look at it you may seem to look as there is no pin fitted but there is one fitted all you need is a good punch to knock it through the drive shaft it is a tight fit so make sure it fits snuggly on the roll pin . hope this of some help
