how to remove air lock from oil supply pipe

remove cover for oil pump, pack solid with grease, put cover back on, and then just keep running it up and doing that until its gone, oil will blead the air out and not lock in pipes, the only place you get a air lock is in the pump so i strongly suggest you try that

If tank is above boiler then syphoning oil until runs clear should be ok. If tank below boiler you will either need pumped system or return hose and maybe fit a de-aerator (tiger loop do one) - not cheap though! Don't forget to check any filters both on tank and boiler side.

Is the oil tank above the appliance if so then the best thing to do is disconnect the oil line from the appliance, get a bucket and suck the oil line until you feel it pushing then run off about 2-3 litres or until it runs free of bubbles.
