peugeot 307 radio wont turn on?

hi i have a 307 that has the original stereo, but infortunately that and the multi functional display unit are not working, have checked the fuses, they all seem in tact and working, any ideas please

i have a peugeot 307, 2007 model. i have just bought a new jvc cd player and installed it into the car, for some reason the the cd player does not come on. there is power to the unit because it all lights up when i put a cd in or eject a cd out it wont let me play music or the radio. do these new cars have some kind of over ride to stop things working.

can someone help me thanks

If you can use a multi-meter or test lamp, check the fuse and test to make sure the battery is being fed to the radio OK.
