hello on the 206 automatic transmission sump you have a drain plug ,about 22 mm I think and in the centre of your drain plug you have your overflow plug 19 mm,two drain your box take the 22mm off you will have a metal tube attached, when refilling your box just put the 22mm plug back leaving the 19mm off ,then take of your plastic breather pipe to your air filter, put your auto handle into the lowest drive, then look at the top of your gear box,you will see a 8mm square stud .that's your filler, get a plastic tube and push it to the bottom of the box then attach your full and pour in your fluid, when the right amount is in it will start to run out, then put back your 19 mm stud into your sump screwing it into the centre of the 22mm one, then put back your 8mm stud back into the to of the box, then take for a run to warm up and recheck the level by undoing the 19 mm again,a little will come out, then you will have too get the ecu reset

HI, I've try'd to change my gear box oil but run into a problem, the drain plug and the level plug are both round with a square hole in the middle and not hexigan nuts. i've try'd a ratchet (both sizes) but they wont do it, does anyone out there know what size these should be ?????

The answer is the capacity of the gearbox is 2.2L ,so if it is drained 2 liter will fill her up.

It's filled from the top plug and just pour it in until it starts to run out, I just so happen to be renewing my gearbox oil as I just changed a coil spring and one of the driveshafts came out and I lost most of it. Also make sure that you get the correct spec, as if you use too thick an oil it will make for a very heavy gear change especially in cold conditions, until it warms up and runs thinner.

It's most likely to be a level plug in the gearbox itself. Easiest way to check it is if you've got a ramp... which I imagine you don't. It could be do-able on axle stands. Look under the gearbox, and there should be one plug at the bottom, and one part way up. The part way up is the level one. Don't undo the bottom one, as it's messy. The part way up one, undo, then stick your finger in and see the level that way.
