How to change a thermostat on a Mondeo Mk3 2001 51 reg 2.0 ltr durotec.
Because of the design Ford want over £80 to buy one.Is there any where else cheaper?

No you can,t get them from just any car spares shop, they're 95 quid from fords and you change them like that, why do people reply when they don't actually know!!

Dave do a google on GSF car parts and you'll find where your nearest shop is or you can get one from any reasonable motor spares place. You'll need a gasket as well which should only be around a couple of quid. The replacement is relatively straight forward where you undo a few clips which attach the two hoses to the thermostat housing and undo 3 bolts (IIRC) to remove the top of the housing. You then replace the thermostat, the gasket and then put it all back together.
