done what curt said removing and replacing the fuse ,it worked
and seems to have more low down power too

Hi.I've got 2063 plate Transit custom.just been to ford to remove speed limiter the very told me it can't be removed as it's a factory fitted one.can u help.

Thanks for the advise curt, just done it to my works transit connect and she's now a flyer! Only problem is when you stop the engine then start the engine the 70mph speed restrictor comes back, is there any way of permanently getting round this to save pulling fuses every time I start up? Also does this cause any permanent damage to the engine?

go to fuse box in glove box go to 3rd fuse along from left then 1 down have engine running, put foot on brake and remove fuse keep foot on brake untill on dash readout you see ENGINE MALFUNCTION then take foot of brake put fuse back in then press brake again untill ENGINE MALFUNCTION goes off then restriction is lifted
