Airbag light flashes!?

Hi,

I am buying a ford mondeo. Ive been told however that airbag light is on and flashes: 2-1- then stays on. Does this mean fault 2 and 1?

Its HPI clear, full service history, V5 etc.. and have been told not been in crash. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it or approx. costs?

i have just sorted mine out it was flashing 4 times i took the 2 screws out thatb hold the dash in place removed this then took the 4 screws out that hold the clocks in place the blub at the back of the clocks was not connecting propaly i gave if a few twists and then put the igintion on with the dash still removed the light seems to work perfact now no more flashing so i think mine was just a bad connection on the ribbon borad at the back of the clocks

HI YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT BOTH ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOR THE ESP UNDER THE SEATS AND THEN THAT WILL RESET THE SYSTEM

Four Flashes are a fault with the Seat Belt Pre Tensioners. I get the same problem with my Escort '97 1.8D Van. Mine started flashing when I moved the seat forward. I have heard it rumoured that a ford garage will sort it for a Fiver! But I never seem to get any joy from Main Dealers for less than £60 for any job. Word of warning! some people advise removing the bulb, that breaks the system and then nowt works. Be warned, and drive safe.

On the mondeo there is a connector underneath the drivers seat that sometimes can get knocked when cleaning ect.
It may just be that it has come loose

your fault is in your passenger air bag circuit .fester is talking rubbish seatbelts are 4 flashes

Same thing happens on my 1997 Ford Mondeo 1.8LXi but mine flashes four times

Mine flashes for a few days then goes out, must be a faulty sensor i think
