Ford Mondeo warning lights?

i have a 51 plate Mondeo 1.8 petrol. there is an orange warning light on constantly on the right hand side of the dash which i believe is 'engine shaped' but i don't know what the fault is. All fluid levels are ok and the oil pressure warning light does not come on.

My Mondeo takes a while to start when I turn the key to start I have to press the throttle pedal down then It starts but after I use it n it's hot it starts fine but sometimes it still takes a while to start any ideas? It's bugging me

The engine management light problem is easily solved. 1st disconnected the battery ( both earth and live ) Then lay a metal bar across the live and earth cable making sure not to touch the battery, Leave for 10 min, after 10 minutes re-connect the battery this will solve the problem

Hi ,i have a 52 plate mondeo 1.8 petrol duratec , and the engine warning light stays on .It happened before a little while ago and it turned out to be the ignition coil which i changed now it has come on again but i am not sure what it can be , i'm not sure it the engine management light comes on if it needs a service .

the snowflake is a frost warning light. if the temperature is between 0 - 5 centigrade outside the light is yellow. if it is below freezing outside then the light turns red. The idea is to warn of potential ice on the road.

i have a 57 mondeo and inside the rev counter a yellow 'snowflake' has been illuminated and now its turned red??? whats that all about?

i had the light come on my 05 plate zetec.
searched around the engine and found a wire broke to a solenoid (just behind the battery). repaired the fault but it took 24 hrs for light to go out.

hi i have ford mondeo 1.8 duretec he engine 03 plate when the car is cold it takes a while to start then when it does start and the temp goes to half the car start missing and back fireing when its under 2000 reves when you put ur foot down it cleares i have no managment light on so im baffled any ideas thanks

A Ford Main Dealer mechanic mate of mine gave me this piece of advice. He said the diagnostic engine management computers are "touchy" and often flag a "non-existant problem" which is a worry if it's your car! Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour.
That turned (cured) my diagnostic light problem about a year ago.

Hi Christopher, sounds like the engine management warning light it means there is a fault stored in the engine management computer, the car might well drive ok but you will need to get the car hooked up to a diagnostic computer to find the fault ford dealerships charge around £150!! you might find a local tyre & exhaust or small garage advertising in your local paper they seem to charge around £30 +vat
